JUGHEAD

The rescue horse that started it all. A palomino quarter horse in his late 20's. We don't know much about Jughead before he came to Reno Rescue, but based on how he used to ride, we think he was used for cutting and sorting cattle. He has significant scarring on his tongue which indicates someone wrapped his bit with barbed wire to control him.  Jughead was unruly, afraid, and hard to handle when we first brought him home to Reno Rescue. Since then, he has transformed back into the gentle and loving soul he was created to be. Jughead has brought joy to so many and has taught countless people that horses are so much more than a vehicle to get from A to B. He is now happily retired and enjoys brushes, long walks along the steamboat ditch trail and bitesize carrot pieces.
